Make it 11. I saw one on the way back from my vacation, when the wife was driving.   The downside was that it was outside of an Adult Bookstore....so we didn't go back for photos....

If I could find out how many people are involved with Waymarking worldwide, I could use that number as criteria in future category developement, so I can be sure that everybody gets a piece of the pie.

I know you were being facetious but it's really poking at the underlying problem that waymarking has with posts v. visits. If there's only 16 of something in the world, waymarkers should understand that their visits contribute to the overall quality of that posted waymark. It's not all about posting. Visits create experience.

I have to admit that I'd like to go against that "rule" about prevalence. Stuff like the Rotospheres of which there are only 16 NEED to be waymarked.  To make the that much easier to find.
But I don't care about the grid....or about my icon collection.

Hey, I found one today! I snapped the coords and shot it from three different angles this evening. It's pretty amazing how there miraculously seems to be more than 10 in the world. I guess they're having little firework tree babies.

Seriously, I think it's fantastic how I suddenly see more when there's a waymarking category for it!

Ill second that! I found one today. It was raining so I didnt get my picture tonight, hopefully when we get back from Pisa on Monday.

You cant see it in this picture so either its new or just doesnt show well from that angle, but its near the elevated car on permanent display.

 

I spotted a couple more on my vacation, but wasn't able to stop and photograph. I'll list, in case anyone else is in the area, and wants to do them.

1) I was on the train between Maribor and Celje in Slovenia on my way back from Vienna. It seemed about 5 miles east of Celje just North of the railroad tracks at a home improvement/garden type superstore.

2) A casino just east of Bled in Slovenia seemed to have maybe 10 of them surrounding the parking lot.

I might have said this, but I saw one a few weeks ago and was gushing about it all day. Sure, it is over a strip club... yeah, I needed an excuse.

I also saw one, actually it was three in one place, over the weekend coming back from a caching trip to Pittsburgh. I was disappointed not to find a Lincoln Highway marker, but this made up for that. Ironically, they were located at a fireworks store.

Hi all.

Well needless to say I'm thrilled that this one passed. There are currently nine posted making Fireworks trees #739 (or there abouts) out of 765 (or there abouts).

Not too shabby.

I'm glad some of you have begun to notice them around, I of course hoped if it passed that that would happen. It's kind of like buying a car a noticing the same kind on the road while you're out and about.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of them posted to the category.

I haven't driven by any of the ones I know about.  One is about 300 miles away but may go for a ride this weekend and get it.
