That was me Jake. I wiped out the rest of his visits to my waymarks today, so there are now 15 less.

if any of you officers see his visit on any of my marks in your categories you can delete them....theres about 20 of them....

This is nice. Something that I thought would be nice, but would have to be created is to create a class of certain users (limited and specifically selected) that are Department managers that could take care of things like absent category owners or things at a higher level. There are people here that are really in tune with the "heartbeat" of Waymarking in General that know where issues like absent category owners is really being a problem. The downside is that the room for abuse of privledges is great.

If you go to the waymark list on their profile then selected visited and refresh it will list the categories that have been visited with a number showing the number of waymarks they have visited in the category.  If you click the number it will show the waymarks which have been visited by the person.

Go to the previous page where I posted all the Waymarks he "Visited" and find the  link to YOUR Category and click on it..

- They are all direct links. You can also see the numbers count down as "Visits" are deleted.

He is down to 336 now after I took a look at the categories I could work with.

so bruce, have you cleared all the categories you are in on?

 

can i click on his name and 'find' the ones on mine hes visited yet? ill check on that in the next few days maybe...

I have two dumb questions:

1) are we, as category managers, deleting his visits regardless of whose waymark it is?

2) isn't this something that TPTB can do with a blanket delete of some sort?

i asked bruce the same thing about #2....lock the account or something (yea, he can create another, but how long before we figure that one out?).....

i would say #1 is the way to go.....how many marks did he visit my markers who arent really paying any attention.....

i would say to let him have the Ga Hist Marker he logged of mine with a bad ell phone pic....is it the only pic he loaded? does he have a gallery?

There are no photos in his gallery.

I just checked mine and there are no photos in my gallery either according to the site.

I think this is broken right now and created another bug thread about it.

There are 122 pages of photos in my gallery.  There are no photos in KWatson0013's gallery even though he/she made over 334 visits in three weeks.  Surely some of those Categories/Waymarks required photographs.

The above named person "VISITED" 2 Waymarks in my  'Unique Gates Category' (posted by others) that requires 2 photos, 1 of the whole gate and 1 close-up of the design.
--- He submitted NO PHOTOS - therefore the visits were deleted.
(BTW- I don't think he uses that I.D anymore)

You are correct that there are no photos in his gallery but I don't think that means he didn't upload any photos. Here is his visit log for the Georgia Historical Marker mentioned by Chapterhouse. There is indeed a photo there for that visit.

The gallery is only for waymarks owned by a user and not for visited waymarks as far as I can tell.

The Filter indicates it is for images uploaded to a users collection of waymarks not for images of waymark visits.

This is born out when I check my gallery. Only the photos I posted to a waymark I own show up and interestingly enough it shows others images as well if they visited my waymark listing. The gallery on my profile page appears to be for all photos that are uploaded to my waymarks.

All that said, it is clear the user is an armchair waymarker by the nature of the visits. I have deleted his visits from the categories where I can. I

This has been a beneficial thread to me. I have learned how to filter a bit in the gallery but still do not know why my gallery would not work for a time this morning.

You are right.  The photos that he/she submitted if any would be added to the gallery of the waymark that he/she visited. 

when the gallery first appeared, it was only for the pics a user uploaded in a log....being as i log my own marks and the pics are already in the mark gallery i had no files.

at some time i thought it was modified to include all pics uploaded by me, either submitions or logs.

seems like there could be a split of the gallery page (like the waymark lists tab). one for marks i posted, another for marks i visited....either way, they should both be in the gallery for my name, right?

Seems that's the way it should be. As it is, some of my  best photos do not show in the gallery on my page.

Okay sorry. Where was we?

We were discussing KWatson0013 who joined Waymarking on March 6th and since then visited over 360 Waymarks with no photographs where required and only brief comments. I do not understand why anyone would want to rack up visits just to rack up visits.  It's not like it counts as "Finds" on Geocaching.

looking over some things the other day, i saw where he was in my Ky Hist Marker group....ald his provile said he had signed in that morning......his visits were at ~350.....
