swizzle: Well I suppose there's 1,000's of spots to choose from. I can't get them all myself. Its definately good to see there's another waymarker close by. Now maybe I'll start getting some visits soon. Swizzle
You've got it!
There has been a time or two when someone traveling through grabbed a few waymarks in my backyard, and I've done the same. If it is a waymark that is somehow special to me, then I try to make sure I get it posted. Only a few times have I "lost" a waymark that I really wanted.
The truth is, at the moment, there really are thousands of waymarks to do. Of course, if one is interested in only a few things, and it is one of the more popular categories, then one might become frustrated. For instance, a covered bridge fan has posted a large percentage of New England covered bridges. In some states it's hard to find a state historical marker that hasn't been done - tough if one is trying to fill in the grid.
Another thing that helps is that we have overlapping categories. So, one site may have been posted to only one of several cateogries for which it qualifies. So, maybe you can find another category for those NRHP sites.
And, there are always visits to log. I need to do this more when I cross paths with existing waymarks. But, it can be an important way to add to a waymark, particularly the photo gallery.
So, I give a shrug and go on to the next one. There is more than enough to go around. And, I've got enough in my list waiting to be posted to keep me busy for a long time.
If anyone wants to come help waymark Korea, you're more than welcome!
