Seven Quilt Barns in Miami County, Ohio

    by BruceS

This month we feature not one - but seven - barns, all located in rural Miami County, Ohio.   BruceS graciously shares this Quilt Barn Tour with us - complete with details about the distinctive quilt patterns and a unique history for each barn.

Great job, but it looks like you missed 52 quilt barns, Bruce!

You can see these - as well as any previously 'featured' barns -  here

PS  Sorry again... same/intermittent image issues...  I'll get it right one of these days.

    Re: Newest Featured Barn

Thank you.  I actually visited 29  barns in Miami County and posted them to the barn quilt category.  A great way to spend an afternoon driving through the country side.

Bulladen/Old Oak Barn - Christiansfeld, Denmark

    by Q10

This old oak barn was built in 1668 and is the largest of it's kind in Denmark.   No windows?  (I'll let you read about it yourself in this wonderful Waymark).     Gosh, I love being able to travel to and see far away places (even if it is vicariously through someone else's Waymark).

You can see these - as well as any previously 'featured' barns -  here

Thanks to TPTB for the translation!

WOW, thanks a lot. Loved making the waymark as well. One of my favorite waymarks among my own waymarks.

Katy Trail Barn 4 - Aholt Farm -
    Missouri

    by kJfishman

The Katy Trail is a 225 mile (365 km) bike path stretching across most of the state of Missouri
... Over half of it follows Lewis and Clark's path up the Missouri River,
where you can ride beneath towering river bluffs while eagles circle overhead.
After leaving the river, the trail meanders through peaceful farmland and
    small-town Americana
(Taken from the Katy Trail homepage)

It's no wonder there are many wonderful barns located in this
    part of the United States

You can see this whimsical barn -
as well as any previously 'featured' barns - here

(Any interesting bicycle tenders along the trail?   You can
    Waymark them here)
