    Historic Trails

I know there is a category called Wagon Roads and Trails.  I am interested in making four specific categories:

    1. Santa Fe National Historic Trail
    2. Oregon National Historic Trail
    3. California National Historic Trail
    4. Mormon Pioneer National Historic Trail

Obviously there may be some overlap, however, someone specifically interested in finding places, and posting places could be drawn into these specific categories.

There is precedence in this relm.  There already is a category for the Pony Express underneath Monuments/Memorials, although I see these categories fitting underneath History/Culture.

Benefits to this category would be encourage travel on the trail.

    Specifics would be:

    1. Photograph of the marker or location.
    2. Photograph of area
    3. Long description on how this location specifically fits underneath this trail.
    4. Selection of operating season and hours
    5. Selection of viewable on private or public property
    6. Selection of the location requires high clearance vehicle, passenger vehicle, or hiking

    Re: Historic Trails

I think these trails are sufficiently covered in the current wagon roads and trails category.  The search capabilities on the site will yield those sites that are on these trails without having four new categories which are fully contained in another.
