    Waymarks not getting approved

I submitted several waymarks on May 4th and two which are in the "New York Historical Markers" are still not approved.  The other waymarks in the other categories I published were activated in a couple days at most.  This category for some reason has taken over a month.

Someone want to run over to the reviewer for "New York Historical Markers" and check to see if he is still alive?  Or is there another explination?

    Re: Waymarks not getting approved

Send a message to someone in the group that has been more active than the leader (who hasn't surfaced since December).  There are 4 that signed into waymarking.com for today.

Ask them to double check on your submissions.  Your submission may have gone to Group Vote and were declined.  Sometimes the reject letter gets lost in the mail.

The four that signed in today are also active in many other groups, too.  So they may have missed them with all the other submissions they receive.

I'm in the same boat,  I've got one still lingering after it was originally denied (wrongly, in my opinion).  The re-sub hasn't been looked at for a month despite promptings.

I submitted a waymark a couple weeks ago that was controversial.  It went to a Group Vote.  I received two Approval notices however it still has not been Approved or Denied.

I have had a couple get hung lately.

I get an e-mail from someone saying it is still in que.

So a simple check has released it everytime, but I do not know why it hangs up on votes.

I'm the "unofficial" leader of the NY Historical Markers Group. I've tried to oust the leader on numerous occasions, but that's a different thread for another day.

I looked through the past activity and none of your NY Markers went to vote. One of them, Dr. Japeth Hunt, was approved by me on May 6 and shows up in your profile. The next approval occurred 4 days later, and belonged to someone else. Nothing shows up in the queue either. Check to make sure the other NY Marker you created doesn't show up in your "My Unfinished" list found on the right side menubar. You may have accidentally clicked "Save and Submit Later" instead of "Submit for Approval."

THAT leader needs to go.  Not logging in for six months is completely unacceptable.  Gotta be honest, needing 100% to oust an uncommitted and AWOL leader seems too high.  But again, this also comes back to the idea that anyone that doesn't log on in X amount of time should be demoted.  This would allow a new leader to repair the group, gather new troops.... blah blah blah.

It may be stuck in the "Vote Limbo" someone from group needs to go to the group page and it will be released.   If there is an active waymarker in the group email them and have them check on the vote... by just checking by going to group page it will be released.  To see what groups that a person belongs to that have waymarks pending in votes (or hung in limbo) just click the group tab on the top of the waymarking home page.  All with pending votes will be listed on top of page, click the links and watch the Vote Completed emails come in Smile

I think someone posted  in the forums a waymark which  was over a year stuck in limbo.

    Re: Waymarks not getting approved

I've had one stuck in Converted Fountains since April and another in Doorways of the World since May.

I sent a message to the leader of the converted fountains category a week ago.  It says he logged in yesterday.  No response.  SIGH
