    Vote Bug

I just accidentally voted twice on an issue and it caused the vote to complete and the waymark was denied.  Here is how it happened. I couldn't decide on a particular waymark if it quite met the requirements. I didn't think so but thought I would get a feel from the other members of the group before I declined it outright. I called the vote then voted on it immediately.  I went to lunch, bought and anniversary gift for Mrs. Bean (#13) and did a few other items. When I came back I reviewed my email and thought I had better vote on this and promptly did so again. This completed the vote. I promptly went to the past activity page to see what my fellow group members had to say about the waymark and saw that I had voted twice.Confused

Here are the votes. The first and last votes are mine. OOPS. Embarrassed

[nay] This waymark appears to be created using a postcard photo. Additionally the coordinates seem to put the waymark much to far inland leading me to think the waymarker may have not used GPS readings taken at the site as required by the submission guidelines. For me this one doesn't seem to meet the requirements. What does the rest of the group think? From the posting instructions: "COORDINATES: Obtained by GPS readings on a personal visit to the site. Coordinates from parking areas or viewing points will NOT be accepted unless physical access is somehow limited."
[nay] This is designed to be a fun category, but we do have standards. First, we have doubts about the photo - could you please confirm that this is an original photograph taken by you personally, and that the coordinates we obtained by you on a personal visit. Second, a bit more description would help.
[nay] Needs clarification on location and a suggestion that the photo is an origin

    Re: Vote Bug

    Congratulations on your anniversary.

As far as voting twice when ever I have gone back in to the vote, my original vote comes up with my comments.  I then either change my vote or my comments if I want.

Are you sure that someone didn't just copy the text of what you said when you called the vote and put it in the vote comment.  That is what the first vote appears to be.

    Re: Vote Bug

    Thanks Bruce.

I am pretty sure they are both my vote. Originally I copied the text and pasted it in the vote box. I intended on editing it but one thing and another happened and I didn't think I had actually cast the vote. When I voted again and saw the first vote was the copy and paste I thought it was mine.

    Very odd.

    Re: Vote Bug

Allow me to clear up somethind here, Mr. Bean (Happy Anniverary, as well).

I also voted nay and when I did so, I pasted your reasons why it should be declined into the text box.

I was being lazy and didn't feel like saying the same thing in different words.

So, no, you didn't vote twice. Or at least I don't think you did...

    Sorry for the confusion.

Plagiarism at its best. Big Smile
Thanks for clearing it up for me.
