I don't think it's just you. I've had the same thing. Performance in both the main site and here in the forums has been especially bad lately, IMHO.

Nope, not you.  Reducing the file size of the photo seems to help, but not always. 

No, it is not just you and the forum is even worse than the waymarking website.  It seems to have to do with how many people are using the server at any given time because it seems to be particularely bad at weekends, holidays and popular evening hours.

Fortunately, I have to get up very early and 5am PST is a good time to submit waymarks :-)

This is very annoying and needs to be fixed ASAP! It was not doing this before. The photos are uploaded, then the server doesn't respond and ignores what was uploaded. It happens in both Firefox and IE. FIX THIS!

Can we get a response from Groundspeak on this?

I haven't had it take that many tries, but I have had to try 4-5 times occasionally.  Usually I have to try a couple of times to get a pic uploaded.

Thanks for the reports, guys. In fact some work is being done on the site recently so what you're experiencing is probably related. I'll poke my head in and see if I can find out what the problem is.

The forums are often very frustrating, and I often give up trying.  I used to love coming to these forums but it is often just too difficult.

However, I have not seen the problems with creating new listings or reviewing them.

Some of the waymarks I was reviewing today were had to be done twice, because when the site returned me to the list, the waymark I'd just reviewed was still there....

Has there been any update on this? I uploaded about 30 pictures today and another 10 or so yesterday, and about half of them took 2-3 tries to get them to save. A couple other waymarkers near me are having the same troubles. One of them even gets completely kicked out of AOL when her picture doesn't save. I'm hardly ever a whiner, but this, combined with the horrid forum performance, needs to be looked in to.

This is very frustrating to me.    I've been trying to work on posting my back list of waymarks, but this photo thing is just stopping me up.  I've not seemed to be able to upload pictures in IE at all, but perhaps that's because I don't have the patience and energy to try 10 times for each picture.  I've tried a few, then I've gone to Firefox, which seems to work after about 3 or 4 times (sometimes).  I guess I'll try to just post one or two required pictures (which I hate) to get the waymarks out there slowly, when I'm up to it. 

Sorry, don't mean to be cranky, but you know how it's been difficult for me lately, Nate, to get my waymarks out there.  And I've trying lately.  But this is just making it almost impossible for me. 

I've gotten used to shrinking my photos down to 35% (a 7mpix camera) They upload easier then.
