Hey, everyone:

I would like to propose a category for Jewish Religious Buildings, since we have various churches, temples and mosques. The catch is, I am not Jewish, nor do I have any knowledge of Judiasm to create a category. If anyone out there is willing to take on this task, I would join as an Officer to help. I just thought this was a big hole in our honoring of religious institutions Waymark categories.

I would suggest doing a category for Synagogue. Check out the Wikipedia article for some ideas. I'm more tan willing to help if you'd like.

Synogogues is a great idea.  I would be an officer but not the leader as I am already juggling quite a few categories.

I really need someone who is familiar with Judiasm. I don't feel comfortable proposing a category about a series of meeting places with specific customs, etc. of which I am unaware. For instance, when the Mosque category was proposed, they mentioned the requirement for the minaret (which I did not even know about until I read the category description when I voted) because someone knew about mosques.

Please let me know if anyone is intersted who can help guide the creation of the category.
