    Bicycle Tenders Category Announcement

    New Page 1

I'm proud to announce that the category "Bicycle Tenders" is now up and running!    We welcome all submissions and hope that by Selective Waymarking you will make this the quality category that it was intended to be.

Thanks to everyone that voted -  Yea or Nay - and submitted constructive criticism.   However, it is disheartening to see the mean-spirited comments, and the fact that not one of my Peers felt proud enough of their comments to include a signature.    This is a good reminder for me to choose my words carefully when writing them as they can easily be misinterpreted.

The category description has been 'tweaked' to address some of your concerns:

    --------------

"...any structure to secure a bicycle is any item people might lock a bicycle to. Lamp post, tree ... you name it."

The description now clearly states "or any other structure that is specifically designed to be used to secure, store or protect bicycles."

    ---------------

"Type really only seems to be the only necessary variable."

Most of the variables are OPTIONAL.  C'mon folks, where's your sense of humor?   Lighten up!

    ---------------

"You are trying to promote an agenda"

No agenda here, I assure you.

    ---------------

"One mans unique could be anothers ordinary."

The very reason why I refuse to play god.

    ---------------

Again,  note we have added a plea to the Waymarker to "Please practice Selective Waymarking".   After all, this category belongs to the entire Waymarking community, so......

     Bring on the Bicycle Tenders!
