I have not had an update to my waymarks posted grid for several days even though I have had at least 10 new waymark category's  posted.Sad

Also, EVERYTIME I select "Save and Submit Later" I get the error page.

Yes, same experience!  The "Save and Submit Later" DOES NOT WORK.

Actually the "Save and Submit Later "  really does not do anything except navigate you to the incomplete waymark page.   Your waymark is saved when you click on the "Save and Continue" on the first tab when completing a waymark.  (It should not error when Save and Submit Later is clicked though)

The work on the bugs listed here will be worked on beginning tomorrow (holiday today).  Groundspeak is monitoring this thread for bugs.

    Re: Release Notes 02/12/09

Just when I did not think that the situation could get worse, it has.

Everytime I do any action on the site it logs me out. If I can get into it in the first place without having a box appear to ask what the problem is which it did when I tried to log into Waymarking this morning.

I tried to fill out a Waymark form twice and as soon as I click on Country it logs out. So I did not get to Save and Continue which did not work for me a couple days ago nor did Save and Submit later which also did not work.

My 24 Hours Most Viewed Waymarks and Recently Viewed Waymarks does not work.

We have tried changing the Browser a couple times. It does not seem to matter which one I use. We have spent a couple hours working on my computer trying to make it compatible -- used a couple (updated) browsers, made sure that cookies were enabled, etc. I am not sure that there is anything further I can do at my end to make the site work for me.

I'm so glad that the "Save and Submit Later" problem isn't just me. I get it on Firefox and IE.

Ditto. I've just filled in a page, gone to save it so I can sort out the photographs to add later, and it wouldn't save... Frustrating to do the work, and find it won't save.
(It has saved somehow though, pheew!

See my response to this earlier in the thread.  Your waymark is actually saved before you get to the photo upload.

    Re: Release Notes 02/12/09

It's not just the waymarks posted grid.  It's also the individual category counts under my Profile Page.

For example, I've been showing 482 Texas Historical Markers posted since before the update.
I got a bunch approved over the weekend, though, it should be 490. You can see that it IS 490 if you click on the 482.

    Re: Release Notes 02/12/09

Perhaps your waymark was actualy saved before you got to the photo upload however my waymarks were not actually saved before I got to the photo upload.  They crashed.  I tried to find them in Unfinished Waymarks, etc. but no luck.  So I put in "none" etc. in all of the blanks, no photos and then submitted the waymarks for approval.  Then I opened the waymarks, clicked on edit, cancelled submit waymarks and filled in all of the blanks.  Then I submitted the waymarks for approval again, opened the waymarks, clicked on edit, cancelled submit waymarks and uploaded photos.  Then I explained to the reviewer why they received so many notices from my waymarks submissions.  And for the final time I submitted the waymarks for approval.

If you can get to the preview and submit page for the waymark page then the waymark is already saved.  Only time it is not saved is if it crashes on the "save and continue" button on the first page of the submission.

    Re: Release Notes 02/12/09

Now it signs me out as soon as I "select country."

    Re: Release Notes 02/12/09

I had to sign in twice to get to the Waymark form.  I filled in all of the page without selecting country/state which would make the form crash.  I selected "Save and Continue" at the bottom of the page.  It signed me out and asked me to sign in.  When I did, it returned me to the waymark form which, of course, was blank.

Ok, the grid icons should now be showing up correctly.

Couple of bugs or features needed due to changes:

View counts not showing on Waymark tab.

These should be showing up for you now.

    Re: Release Notes 02/12/09

I wish that I could get to "Save and Submit Later!!"  If I fill in country the form logs out so I omit that info.  The form crashes when I select "Save and Continue."  It asks me to sign in (again).  I checked to see if it was saved somehow under "Unfinished Waymarks."  Nope.

After working on this for quite some time on the computer I would like to know what else I can do.  What browser should I be using?  Enable or disable cookies??  What else??  At this point I will never be able to submit another Waymark.

    Re: Release Notes 02/12/09

When setting up a Waymark I  NEVER click "Save and Submit Later"
After setup 1--> Update and continue  2--> either Load a picture or click on '"Preview and Submit"  and it will be saved anyway without   "S.&S.L"
Try it - before finishing it look for it under your "My Unfinished Waymarks" and it should be there already. Smile

You may consider clearing your file cache for your browser.  The problems you are having seemed to be  tied to something with your browser this might help.

    Re: Release Notes 02/12/09

I finally got Waymarking to work somewhat by allowing ALL COOKIES which is a security risk.

I am still having trouble staying logged in.  It took three tries to send a message to The Bean Team.  It kept logging me out.

I cannot archive a Waymark.  Evidently the Group Leader cannot archive it either.  It was just supposed to be a practice Waymark that I submitted for approval to see if I could get it to work.  It worked so well that it will be around forever now to haunt me!!

My Most View Waymarks and My Recently Viewed Waymarks, etc. does not work.

Which waymark is it?  If you send me the waymarking id then I can try to archive it for you.

I drove to Portland (Oregon) this afternoon and got the photos and coordinates to turn the test Waymark into a real Waymark.

On this note  -  I can't see anyway to archive or delete unfinished waymarks.  I'd like to clear the clutter, and "delete" would most suit that purpose.

    Re: Release Notes 02/12/09

When display My Waymarks, they used to be presented in the order in which they were created, and now they are all mixed up.  This makes scrolling through to find a waymark much more difficult.  If I posted a group together, the may now be separated by a couple dozen other waymarks.

Couple of bugs or features needed due to changes:

Direct link to waymark filter/query page.  It would be good to have the ability to go directly to waymark filter page without doing more generic waymark search first.  Currently have to select newest waymark link or my waymarks or some other search before filter page can be accessed.

I certainly agree with this.  To find my submitted/unapproved  waymarks, I have to do a search for My Waymarks (one click) then I have to click on the filter option (which, can be hard to find until you know where to look for it - could be much more intuitive)  then I have to UN-check about five boxes.  I'm not sure what the solution is, but a one-click option for this would sure be nice. Can't complain too much though, because I'm just so glad to have these filter options at all!  Thanks!
