    Firefighter memorials

    Hi

I have run across a very nice Firefighter memorial for local paid and volunteer fighters in a local "county". To my surprise, I did not see a category for firefighter memorials. I found the Police/Law enforcement and Veterans memorials.

I found old fourms but did not see anyone (I guess) actually looking to begin one, or if it would be a good category.

Would there be any intrest in a category to Waymark Firefighter Memorials, either to an individual fighter(s), station, city/county, unit or however the memorial is displayed?

Maybe have it "follow" the Police Memorial as far as memorial types and how to post Waymarks?

    Any input/suggestions?

    Thanks so much!

I wonder why that obvious category did not show up in a search??? I searched fire, fireman, firemen, firefighter, memorial, memorials and firefighter memorials? Oh well, thanks BruceS

I too had some trouble finding certain categories in the category search. However, the trouble seems to have been temporarely, now everything works again

Your post has not been in vain!

I too was unaware of that cat and I know of a good example.  Thanks!  Big Smile

This post has done some great good if two firefighter memorials are posted as a result. The more, the better. Yes

    Re: Firefighter memorials

I sometimes have trouble using keywords to search for something I know is there.

My most recent try was entering white for whitewater rafting. Cantegory names that have apostrophe's are also hard to search for, unless the cat owner has added some extra search variables.

    This seems to occur frequently.

I got note with a waymark for a vintage gas pump, suggesting that I put "gas" in as a key word as a search for "gas" yielded no cateogry.  Well, I checked and it is indeed a key word as well as being in the category name.  Maybe the new search engine has the flu?

You ought to put a big pot of beans on to soak, that will yeild resuls if your searching for gas!
