I googled variations.

J.P. Mc Incrow
John Mc Incrow
and
John McIncrow Priest.
I did focus on the
Google book search for a few of the searches. That is where the internet archive digitized books turned up. You should Google Amsterdam just to see what turns up. There are different settings in the advanced search such as a date range that you can set if you want to look for a certain era.
When I saw
an obscure reference in one of the old books to St Mary's Catholic Institute I Googled that and turned up that he was the founder. Odd that it didn't come up sooner in the searches.
There were several books that referenced him that were not available for previewing but there is probably a lot more information out there about the man.
This is one of the things I like about Waymarking. I like the challenge of finding information and I like sharing it with others.
