How do I resign from a group I'm a leader of?

Go to group page and click your name.  Pick quit group.

Contact the most active member and ask if they are willing to take over the duties. If they are not the number one officer in your group promote them to that position then resign. Make sure you have at least three officers before you quit the group.

To change a members rank go to the categories group page Once there you have a few options. Select the Name of the user and not the view profile link. This will open a page for the user pertaining to the group and it will allow you to update the user on this page. Near the bottom of the page there should be a dismiss this member and a change this members rank option.

Change the member to an officer 1 if needed. Change the other officers to officer 2 so the member you want promoted actually is. If you have a minimum of three officers in the group go back to your group page and at the bottom of the page there will be an option to Resign as leader of the group.
