what was the time frame for probation? several weeks?
The banner says the category is on probation and that all waymarks will be autoapproved. They were going to check to see if that was actually the case, or if the wording on this just hadn't been changed, but I haven't heard if that has been determined yet. I think everyone agrees that autoapprove is just a bad idea.
I don't know if there is a time limit on the probation, or what. Probably just an indefinite status. Even if there are regular members, if they are not promoted to officer, then it doesn't matter.
Maybe if a category falls below three officers, then the next regular member should be automatically promoted and if it is set with open enrollment off it should automatically be reset to on. That'd take a little programming, though.
In any case, this is just another piece that needs to be fixed in the larger non-funcitiong category issue that we are assured will be addressed by Groundpeak - in the near future, we hope.
