Dear geocacher/waymarker,
My name is Nana Kirk (a.k.a. “Squirreleen” on Groundspeak). I am a landscape architect/planner who is interested in the interaction between people and the environment. Currently, I am conducting a survey on the use of GPS devices in recreation. In particular, I am interested in how the use of the computer, GPS and other technology affects people’s perception and use of the environment. As part of this, I have posted a survey on Surveymonkey.com, which I invite you to participate in.
Aside from being a geocacher and waymarker myself, I am not affiliated with groundspeak.com in any way. I participate in these activities myself, and am curious about how other people view it. This is NOT a marketing survey, but one I hope to be able to write up and present in an academic setting. Your answers will be kept strictly confidential and responses only used in aggregate or anonymously.
