I've worked in the pharmacy business for several years now. One thing that seems to be missing in waymarking - and something that is rapidly dissappearing in the US is the independent pharmacy. As an independent store owner, the design and services of the pharmacy can vary per owner choice. Some stores have soda fountains and sundae bars, they may offer home delivery services. Some have gift sections with the most unusual gift items! Each store is individual and unique.
Many of the older, smaller, local pharmacies have sold their files to the large chain-stores and closed their doors. There are less than a dozen independents in our huge Boise-Caldwell area!
I hope everyone will join me in waymarking these pharmacies - and visiting them!
