I have been looking at Heavens Above frequently lately and if I read it right, it looks like there are 3 very good chances for a visible ISS pass over my area next week. I would seriously like to catch this opportunity, but have a couple of questions as to the data that is listed there for my location.
1) am I to understand correctly that the lower the Mag #, especially when it is negative something, is actually a indicator of being a better chance of seeing the ISS, as in being brighter?
2) Is it correct that the higher the number in the altitude column means it is more overhead of my location?
If this is correct, then it looks like on April 26th, at 4:10 to 4:13, it will be at 83 degrees altitude, (almost directly overhead?), and at -2.3 magnitude, (quite visible to the naked eye?).
here is a link to the information that i am looking at, advise from the experts, is greatly appreciated...
