The date problem should be fixed now.  You still won't be able to enter 01/01/2009, but it will behave properly when you enter 1/1/2009 now.

Sure would be great if Groundspeak would adopt the ISO format... I confess that I can't understand what 7/5/2009 is. And without the hanging "0", it looks messy in a list.

    What's ISO format for dates?

It oughta be YYYY-MM-DD. I've taken to using that format because that's the only one that sorts properly with simple rules, like for instance, at the beginning of a file name.

And, for that matter, we should all use military time. It's stupid for 12 PM to follow 11AM. And ambiguous if the A|PM is left off.

    ISO 8601

Exactly what you said and for all the reasons that you said. And I do the exact same thing as you when naming files and also use 24-hour time which also happens to be covered under ISO 8601.

Going OT now: It always has struck me as strange that the day begins when it does. The start of the day being "midnight" is askew to the fact that the day "dawns" many hours later.

To me it would make more sense if time was fully based on sunrise at Greenwich on January 1st. Therefore the sun would rise at about 00:00:01, which I do understand that as the year progresses that the actual time of sunrise changes but that is how it is now anyway.
