It just so happened that I was preparing for a trip to Napa Valley for a wedding and found out that there was an Irish (as in the surname) that owned a relatively new Vineyard in California called Irish Vineyards. Since I was only going to be within a 3 hour drive from the location I carved out a day while down in California to visit.
Although Russell Irish and I are not directly related, Russell being from the John Irish family and I from the James Irish side, there is always still that family bond between the Irish namesake. The added bonus was the wines produced by the vineyard were delicious, so I had a case shipped back to Seattle.
Unfortunately I didn't have an opportunity to mark any other vineyards in the area but I'll do my best to post new ones around Seattle's wine country.
