Wow. I have not been so taked about this much since . . .... well probably ever. So I'm just going towrite away for a bit and if it seems as if we should head out in another direction, we can do that.
Correct. I do not own a GPS thing. Or a cell phone for that matter. I recently was trained on using one as part of a "Let's find and record New Mexico's petroglyphs" project, but a knee problem prevented my doing much there. Since the day or two ago since I discovered this site I find myself thinking "get one and do this right" but it's not in my budget now, so will not happen right away. I would accept a donation of last years model from someone who only uses 3 of the 7 s/he has.
Wilipedia. The scanned pictures that someone here found were added to the article about Richard Bock beause the sculptures being discussed were created for the 1893 Columbian Expo in Chicago and were destroyed a year later. The old pictures I found are all that there is left of them. I somewhere saw on wikipedia some edit counter (i don't really track this sort of thing much) that I'd posted something like 850 photograps, which seemed like a lot, and i'd guess that 800 were ones I'd taken, the other 50 were historical stuff that can only be done that way. To those who suggest that i be watched closely, i say. "GREAT." Knowing that someone is actually looking very, very, very ,very carefully at what I'm doing, well isn't that as much as any of us can hope for?
Next question? Yes, you in the back row. Einar
