Group Description: This category was created to
find and log the historical markers throughout the Province, that have
been erected by the Province of Manitoba. This my first draft for the category. What do you think?
Category Description:The Manitoba Historical Markers category waymarks Historical Markers that have been installed by the Province of Manitoba and placed throughout the Province.
Expanded Description: The
Manitoba Heritage Council has over 175 plaques that they have erected throughout the province to honour people, places and events that are considered of provincial historical significance.
Only Official Markers erected by the Province of Manitoba will be accepted.

Instructions for Posting a Manitoba Historical Markers Waymark:To submit a ""Manitoba Historical Marker"" Waymark, you must post a large legible photo of the whole Historic Plaque, taken by you and at least one additional photo of the area. If this is a bi-lingual (or multi-lingual) plaque, all language sides or plaques must be submitted.
You and/or your GPS should NOT be in the photos.
In the long description, enter the complete marker text using at least one of the languages, as well any additional information about the history of this waymark or the area. Fill in all the variable.
Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category: When entering a new log for visiting a waymark, provide at least one picture of your visit to the location and if you have an interesting alternate area or sign photo include that. Please include any thoughts or historic information about the area that the marker may represent.
