I've noticed that when I send a message to all the members of one of my waymark management groups, the message is sent individually from Groundspeak to each recipient. Even though I reveal my email address, the received message includes only mine, not the addresses of the other recipents. So if a recipient uses the reply function in their email program, their followup message only goes to me. They have to consciously remember to add the other members to the "To" or "Cc" list, or else those people won't receive their message. This makes it very difficult to carry on discussions about submitted waymarks and other group management issues.
I know that traditionally, when one sends a message to a Geocaching.com or Waymarking.com member, the recipient's address is not known to the sender. That makes sense to preserve privacy when communicating with a stranger. But Waymarking management group members have agreed to participate in the management group, so there's no reason to avoid putting all their addresses in the received message.
Is there something in the structure of Groundspeak's message-sending software that would make it impossible to change this behavior? If so, I'll send all management messages from my own email account so that they'll go to everyone simultaneously. But if there is a way to do this from the Waymarking.com group management pages, I'd really like to see it happen.
Thanks!
Patty
