    Waymarking in Danish television

If you absolutely don't have anything else to do - why don't watch Danish television?! For the first time in World history Waymarking has been on the screen in Denmark or even mentioned in a Danish media! The programme was sent wednesday february 13 and a shorter version the day before. I know you don't understand Danish, but the pictures can be seen, if you like. And me....

Link to the programme: Naturriget/The world of nature

The programme takes aprox. 30 minutes. The first part is about a danish family doing Geocaching. The part with Waymarking comes in the last 10 minutes. It starts with me sitting and telling about Waymarking at this Waymark:

    Hald Lake-area - Bisballe, Viborg
I also have a geocache in this area: Bisballe

The next place is around this Waymark:
    Treehouse/Træhuset - Hald Ege, Viborg

Then I demonstrate how I work in the field about creating a Waymark. You also see me doing some of the work by my computer. It's this Waymark:
The military road stone - Viborg, Denmark

In the end you can see me telling about this beautiful geocoin:
Dannebrog #6 travelling from Jordan over England to Iceland and back to England.

I did my best to promote Waymarking in Denmark. Since the programme two more danish geocachere have created Waymarks. But we still have a long way to go about Waymarking in Denmark.

This is fantastic, even if I only understand words like "co-ordinate" "GPS" and, of course "Waymark"

By the way, the clip in question is only 10 mins long, so I think it's an edited version of the actual program.  The waymarking part starts at about 6:30

I'm especially enthusiastic because the featured waymark is in my Milestones category!

Danish Television sent two different versions of the program - on two different days. One short (10 min.) as an appetizer and one long (30 minutes). In the short version you don't see me working on my computer - doing the first step making a Waymark for Milestones.

Short version (10 minutes): The world of nature (Waymarking start at 6:12)

Long version (30 minutes): The world of nature (Waymarking start at 19:19)

I didn't know the link for the long version, when I sent you, Team Sieni, a link. Thanks for your comments - both here and private. Yesterday three of my Waymarks in my hometown was logged - and the person logging my Waymarks - wrote to me private that they themself had one Waymark sent for approving. So I hope (and think) the program will get some geocachers or other persons interested in Waymarking.

This is great.  Not only may it attract other geocachers but may also attract some from the outside community as well.
