We had a vote in the Best Kept Secrets Category for waymark WM40XD The Road to Nowhere - Salem, Oregon. The vote ended on 6/24/08 and the waymark was approved but the waymark itself says "This waymark has not been approved by the category group yet." It looks like after the vote was closed the waymark was never promoted. Can someone look into this?

When a waymark goes to vote it will get stuck in a limbo state until someone from group goes to the group page and then they "usually" are released.

That's how I know this cache was approved. I went to the previous activity tag an that caused the vote to end. Usually, the waymark would immediately be added to the category at this point. But it's now a week later and the waymark still shows not approved although the activity shows the vote was completed and the waymark was approved.

Since you are an Officer in the Category, I would recommend that you click on "Reevaluate Waymark" and Accept it.

This should clear the jam.

If not, send off a note to contact@waymarking.com and include the WM# and as much detail as possible for OpinioNate/Bootron to resolve it.

That did not work. When I click reevaluate waymark I get the waymark page but it says "A group vote has been called to determine whether this waymark should be approved or denied. Click here to vote now" and has now place to approve the waymark. When I click "Click here to vote now" it goes to the Group page where the past activity show the waymark as approved. I will send an email to Bootron to see if he can fix the problem.

There's a weird db bug where a particular sequence of events involving a group vote will put the waymark in limbo. I've documented this with a few examples so hopefully Sean will get to the bottom of it soon. In the meantime I'm afraid the best option is to just have the person re-submit the waymark (sorry!).
