When was it built?  What college?  What city is it located in?  What was its original use?  Is it in its original location?  With answers to some of those questions I might be able to point you to a category or two.

You're not giving us much information to go on, but I was recently at Pitt and thought maybe you are talking about this place: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Log_Cabin_(University_of_Pittsburgh).  If so, it could fit in:

    Tourist Information Center

    Pre-Victorian Homes

    Relocated structures

If there is a state historical marker: Pennsylvania Historical Markers

Colleges and Universities if you documented the Univerisity of Pittsburgh

U.S. National Register of Historic Places (if it is on the list).

That ought to get you started.

As for State Historical Marker it does have a Historic Landmark plaque

    Thanks

I did a little research even before you posted and figured that was the one based on where you are from.    You will not be able to post to the Pre-Victorian houses because it has been relocated.  It does not seem to be listed on the National Register and is also does not appear to be a contributing property in a district.  However I think you can post it in two categories.  You can post it in the Relocated Structures category.  Also I think you can post it to the Superlative category as I think it is the First Location in the United States for the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.  Hope this helps.

Another category you can post this log cabin is in the American Guide category.  The building is listed in the Pennsylvania: A Guide to the Keystone State, pg 592.

The building could also be listed in the Superlatives category as the oldest school building west of the Allegheny Mountains.
