    Help with finding category needed

I have searched and not found a category that seems right so I figured I'd ask here instead of waiting for decline and resubmitting.

The object is a tall stone pillar, but not an obelisk, it has a bronze relief bust, but it is not a statue, it has a historical marker plaque and it is in California, but it is not an official California Historical marker.

Where should I submit it? I can't decide as the categories are so specifically defined.

If it is a bust of a historic figure you can submit it to the statues of historic figure category, they do accept busts.  What is the topic of the marker, who placed it.... this info may lead to other categories.

It has a 3d relief portrait, not a statue like bust. It is a historic figure. The topic is the site in San Francisco where the ship of the Arctic explorer Roald Amundsen rested for many years after his historic voyage. The stone monument, with plaque and bronze relief portrait was placed by a historical society. It is similar to the monuments that are California historical markers.

If it was placed 1940's or earlier it might be listed in the CA or SanFran American Guide books.

Try the elusive "Antarctic Points of Interest" category.  I think the ship (if it is the Fram) would have the required link to the South Pole.

It sounds like this would fit with the new Maritime Monuments & Memorials category.
