BruceS:
Was this a fountain? Man made waterfalls must have to be 5 ft drop. Working water wheels must power machinery. (things to keep in mind for those categories)
I tried to get a short video uploaded, but my connection here isn't stable enough for it, I'll do that when I get home.
The stream would have been a 20 foot waterfall if it were allowed to proceed on it's own. It appears that it was divided into 'steps' to prevent erosion. The water wheels are probibly decorative, but I called them 'working' in that they are slowing down the flow to prevent erosion? They create no power, perhaps the opposite. At no point can you see the 'fall' between each step, as the water flows inside the step box. When I can get the video up, it will make sense. I need to figure out a way to edit out my heavy breathing, though. The trail was on a steep hill walking up to the remains of an old castle.

yramc600:I've read through the different categories for specific wars and specific vetrans, and I'm having trouble. Pitt county NC has one memorial for everyone who's been killed in war from this county. The wars are listed, and the people are named. This goes from WWI to Iraqi Freedom. I'm sure this isn't the only memorial designed this way, I just can't tell from the category descriptions where to put it!
Thanks for all your help!
I agree that there is no consistency and the war categories are very confusing. Here is what I read:
Non-Specific Veteran Memorials: They accept "The multi-war monuments must be of a kind that are not separatable into separate categories..."

Non-Specific Veteran Memorials wants memorials that don't mention names or cover a number of different wars. Memorials that say, "Everybody in the Vietnam War" or "Everybody in Every War Ever." The category also says:
The multi-war monuments must be of a kind that are not separatable into separate categories: a memorial "walk" with bricks for soldiers from various wars would be acceptable, for example, but a memorial park with a separate monument or engraving for each war would not.
This means your waymark would go here because numerous people are mentioned and it's really impossible to divy up the memorial into existing categories.
Non-Specific Veteran Memorials accepted the burden of being non-specific, which requires them to define something that's general and be inclusion of all different forms of non-specific memorials that could possibly be out there.
Specific Veteran Memorials don't care if a specific war is mentioned or how many wars are mentioned. They only care about the person or people who are being memorialised. It's got to say, "Col. Joe Army." Specific Veteran Memorials have the convenience of being specific, which makes the category's requirements easier to understand.

This definately says "Multi war" to me. There is more than one war on it, so it's multi war. My KISS [ Keep Is Simple - Stupid ] method for deciding where to put it. If it has multiple wars mentioned, it goes into non-specific. If it just says all who died from [town] without mention of a specific war, I put it in non-specific. If it just mentions one veteran it goes to specific. If it just mentions one war, and that war has a cat, it goes there.
The ones I'm not really sure of are the multi war memorials that include separete monuments to each war. I do each monument separately, because it allows me to give more focus to each.

globetrotters.us:
Okay, where does this go? Its a giant rock with a circle across the top, Each subdivision of the circle has a place name and the distance to that place.
I was thinking distance and direction arrows, but they aren't arranged in direction order. I was also thinking of a compass rose, because each of the corners give a direction an distance that is appropriate.
We'd love to have this in Milestones.
It's a bit like this one:WM33K5
