    Broken Rose Memorial Monuments

I'm not sure if these are just a local thing or not, or maybe just Canadian..... but my limited Googling Skills being just that, do we have something for these here?

"The Broken Rose - Symbolic of a Useful Life Cut Short"

I keep finding these at government sites, arenas, etc...

They won't fit into my "Occupational Monuments" as there is no human form aspect.

I don't recall seeing these around here. I have started noticing monuments to the unborn. They are usually next to the verterans memorials in the Catholic cemeterys.

Never seen one before. Is it Canadian only?

Interesting, but I've been in a lot of U.S. cemeteries and don't recall seeing these.  That doesn't mean they aren't there since I don't notice everything.  I never realized there were zinc headstones until the waymarking category came along!

A friend of mine somehow stumbled across this thread (he looks at Waymarks but doesn't log them) and also shares a common interest in these so he sent me this

Workplace Health and Safety Centre which indicates that these seem to only exist in Ontario. Hopefully like the "Angel of Hope Statues" these too will spread across the world.
