    Boardwalks

I'm interested in creating a new group for boardwalks.  Specifically, a category for fresh water boardwalks that go through swamps, marshes, and other natural areas.  This category would not include salt water boardwalks (such as on the Jersey shore), but that could be another category managed by the same group.

I don't have any members at this time, except myself of course!

    Re: Boardwalks

I'd be interested in helping if needed. I have one waiting in the wings if it makes it through the approval process. I wanted to put it in Hiking Path Footbridges, until I read the category requirements and found they don't accept boardwalks. Just let me know, Chilihead.

My only issue is the number of salt water marshes, swamps, etc that won't be allowed to be waymarked in this category.  I understand not wanting to boardwalk oceans, bays, etc but not allowing salt water boardwalks seems overly 'discriminatory'...

One way to word this, is rather than exclude Salt Water boardwalks - exclude "Coastal or Beach" Boardwalks. Remember, we have boardwalks along the beaches of the Great Lakes - I'm pretty sure you don't want downtown Toronto or Chicago listed here but that mini-ocean there is all fresh water (ok ok 30% fresh water and 70% pollutants )
