New feature to U.S. Post Office category

Just a note to let everyone know, I have added a new feature to the U.S. Post Office category.

First off, I want to thank fishingwishing for allowing me to borrow the "featured barn" idea and

incorporate it into the U.S. Post Office category. I have always thought that it was an excellent

idea, being able to showcase one outstanding or unique waymark in the category each month.

My plan is to go through each month's submissions, looking for the most unique, unusual or

outstanding waymark,  then feature that waymark on the U.S.Post Office waymarking page for the entire

    following month.

The Feb. 2009 honoree is: WM5Y0X "Pioneertown, California - 92268" - posted by Peter and Gloria

I regret that I hadn't started this earlier, as there have been many others that would

fit the bill. Alas, you have to start somewhere, I guess. Thanks to all you folks for

keeping us busy reviewing all your great submissions. PTCrazy.

Very cool, maybe fishingwishing might be on to something...

Nothing says you can't go further back to select your features.

You are correct.....I will definitely go back through the earlier waymarks and bookmark a few others that will be honored in future months. Thanks for the suggestion, it makes perfect sense.Embarrassed

ptcrazy, do you take nominations, similar to the way Groundspeak does with Featured Waymarks on the front page?

For that matter, are nominations taken for the Barns?

I would gladly take anyones suggestions for future "featured" post offices. Just drop me a line with your suggestions and we'll take it from there. Thanks for asking...PT.

I don't think that Groundspeak takes nominations for Featured Waymarks...

Besides, I'd rather see the Leader pick the one that impressed them... not that it's a competition.

    Cool BQ

Sure they do.  I asked them to consider making WM3EX9 a Featured Waymark and they did.  Maybe it's because I'm the leader of the group that manages the category.
