    New Proposal: National Geographic

    just came across a news article from national geographic.
    don't they have a good online database? why not have a category for these noteworthy articles.

    this old mazazine has written multiple articles about the same places. thereore, this would operate a la 'zippy'--you post each article.

    [i have a dry tortugas article from 2001. but any other articles would get their own point]

    anyway, just an idea i had....

    I like the idea. It could work in the same way as the "Newspaper Article Location" - post the article (either internet link or scan), provide the coordinates and at least one original picture taken at the coordinates.

    Since NatGeo has a lot of foreign language editions this could be a truly international category open to readers from Albania to Zambia.

    yes, and i was thinking more along the lines that the stories 'take place' all over the world....dont get me wrong but a lot of 'news' is crap. yes, there might be some crap NG articles, but most are quality.....
