Cool... Will you be adding Countries any time soon? I think I have a couple of those.

Heading to Austria, Czech Republic and Poland in October, so I may even get a few more!

    Very cool.

Fun stuff statistics. I was trying to count up how many states you had waymarked in Bruce and then I scrolled down and saw the information there as well. You do get around don't you. Travel

    Well, that's pretty cool.

Thanks Bruce!  Don't feel like you have to post statistics every single day.

Pay no attention to Occam, Bruce - please feel like you have to post statistics every single day! Big Smile

    ... or ...

convince Bootron to add those stats to a standard page someplace on the Waymarking site where they get automatically updated.

    Re: A Few Statistics

i agree, it should be on wm.com--looks to me like those secret links didnt disappear, then just changed the code....then again, i havent tried to go to that address in years...im still planning on scanning those in the near future.....

and yes, at least a stat a week, set up a rotation (1st week= overall posts/states, 2nd=top categories, etc.....)

What are these 'secret links' to which you refer?

    Re: A Few Statistics

i believe it might be in this forum, otherwise its at the old place....

there was a url on wymarking.com that would display the top waymark posters, and you could sort out each ctegory and itd display the top posters there.....(i too, got it from bootron)

i copied/pasted those lists into the forums. tht was back when i was at/near the 1,000 posts range. and i think the final beta update/crossover was when that stopped working. i never tried it again. but the format of his info struck up those memories.

anyway, i printed the list out several times, and just found those the other day--with other 'historical' waymarking printouts. i just kick myself for not actually printing my grid when i got the bingo--printer problems stopped me. but thats long gone now AND the bingo grid doesnt print well--not set up for 8.5x11--and some of the rows get cut off at page breaks....

This data is not coming from any secret links.  It is my hope that I will be able to update the various statistics on a periodic basis (the period is yet to be determined).  Maybe in time some of these will be moved to Waymarking.com, until then I will update them when I can.

    Re: A Few Statistics

i had the thought today to see all the categories listed and the markers who have posted 100+ (or the nearest to 100) for all categories--not just top 50.

i see the new stuff, thanks.

and what about a nice consice listing of the largest categories search result? i looked at that recently, and see that theres been lots of movement over the years.....i dont know why the #s just dont appear on that result page, i can see them when browsing the tree.....

    Re: A Few Statistics

I'd still love to see stats showing the number of waymarks reviewed (accepted, denied) by individual reviewers.

    Very Cool!

Is it possible to show categories with diversity? For example which catagories have the most unique submitters?

The way I get my data I can't get the unique submitters, that may change but right now I can't provide that info.

Any interest in publishing the top 10 logged waymarks?  Maybe top 10 by state/country.  I'm really curious about this stat.

i suspect the FL list will have several Disney marks. and the count meter doesnt seem to be working properly on all marks.

and then the split of visits/notes?
