    New category, new icon

I've just created a new category for Austraila Post Offices - based heavily on the Canadian Post Office category.

I presume this is the place to bring our request to Koko for an icon.

Ideally we're after smaller versions of the Australia Post logo - http://www.auspost.com.au/

The logo is typically reversed: red on white.

Koko typically seems to create the icons in bunches, probably much like we review... and it will get automatically assigned to your category when it is ready.

I'm sure that she researches the concept and creates something beautiful based on her understanding of the category and artistic flair... don't worry, you'll be proud to display the icon.

I like viewing mine as a personalized present.. Big Smile

I was wondering how you created a new icon. I was wondering what it would look like for my new category proposal. Swizzle

still think the NRHP would be better served with an icon modeled after 'the plaque', rather than me thingink thats another national park (US/world).

like if Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut all had the Pepsi logo for an icon--their parent company....

That would be very strange. Each restaurant has its own logo. That seems more realistic.

The only one that I wish would be updated would be the "Tim Horton's" category that I adopted/took over. All other national chains get their specific logo, but Tim's just gets a doughnut.

Oh well. I'm not going complain, just make comment as the opportunity arises naturally.

I think chapterhouseinc was expanding on the previous post -- that using the NPS logo for NRHP is like having the Pepsi logo for those restaurants.

Here's a site that uses the plaque as an icon.  It's kind of bland for such a popular category, but I do think it's more fitting.

You would be correct that I misunderstood chapterhouseinc. He makes a good point.

    Can I have my Tim Horton's icon now? {snicker}

A big thank you to Koko for the logo, although I noticed that the background is grey Indifferent

If you're listening, could you please change it to white?

It is very unlikely that Koko reads these forums. Or at the very least, it is a very rare occurrence that Koko would reply. Someone would have to alert Koko to something pressing, and to be honest icon creation items are typically a one-way route.
