I'm trying to finish a few waymarks, but I can't get the pics to upload. It will act like it's going to work and then the upload screen will clear itself... anyone else having the same problems?

I have been seeing it on some but the second shot always seems to work for me.  How large are your photos?  I try to keep mine under 200 kb.

And sometimes the photo actually does upload but does not display on the successful screen, and instead just shows a . where the photo should be.

Groundspeak knows about the issue and photo wrangling of the more pressing items that I think they are looking at new solutions. I'm not sure what level of commitment is in place but let me assure you that Groundspeak is aware of the problems that we are having.

I have had the problem that BruceS has had.. it works the second time.  But this time I'm getting nothing, and my photos are in the size range of 875kb to 1.5mb... small enough to upload.  I did shrink a few and a few did upload, but now nothing will stick... very frustrating ,because I was getting a bunch done that I had backed up on my list.

I have tried to upload photos many times using my fiance's dialup connection - it almost never works - does exactly what you describe, kicks me back to the blank form. I have tested this problem from there using jpegs from 1 meg, thru 185 kb, right down to a 5 kb test image. Same result. And, I tested her connection with her older desktop, and with my high-tech laptop...both show the same issue on dialup, so it's not the computer. But, strangely, MY high-speed wifi connection, at my place in the city works every time, regardless of file size.
It's like the server waits for the file, and when dialup does not push it throough fast enough, the server gives up and resets.

For me, when posting a new waymark,  the first photo usually goes right through.  The 2nd & subsequent photos  (both using the "add additional " on the initial set of input forms or switching to the "add images" in the right-hand column ) are more problematic.  I've spent up to a half hour & twenty or more tries to get a 2nd or 3rd image added to a waymark I was trying to submit.  It seems to be overall traffic load related as uploads seem to go better at "quiet" times of day.  So some techie that understands "dropped packets" etc. should look at where the bottlenecks are happening.
