Groups that will not approve to their own standards

The Human Error group will not approve my waymark eventhough it meets their requirements 100%. the following is copied from their page.

"Description:Showcasing those times things just didn't go as planned, or when the plan was flawed.

Expanded Description: Waymarks in this category represent those times that are best described as a failure.

Waymarks should be permanent, and clearly viewed as a mistake or error of some sort. These will typically be engineering or construction errors, like design or implementation flaws."

I have submitted a retaining wall that has partially failed, in that it has not fallen down totally. Other retaining walls all around this one, and they were all built at the same time, have not failed. In fact these other walls are larger. This one wall was improperlly designed/built by HUMAN ERROR.

They keep saying that it failed because it was old. The walls were built in the 20's. Again all the walls were built the same time that they are not showing any sign of failure, only this one failed.

    Any suggestions?

See new logging requirements before submitting another hundred "crooked"   badly constructed or deteriorating walls that can be found all over the world.
... and no sinking street manhole covers due to a shrinking ground base.

Not to start anything here but I checked out your waymark and I'm not seeing any major human error? Maybe take a better pic or 3 and add to it. Around here we have a lot of retaining walls that aren't doing there job anymore. Its just a matter of time, pressure, frost and thaw. It may not even be human error as much as a harsh environment. These walls are like anything else that is built by humans, a temporary fix. Some of these fixes can last for 10 years some for 1,000+ years. Personally I haven't found anything in my area that qualifies for this category yet. Swizzle

There are considerable waymarks submitted to the Human Error category that are not suitable for the category for one reason or another, especially since Human Error gets referred to from the forum for very inappropriate sites.

Your retaining wall... I voted against it in the officer vote because I couldn't see anything one way or the other from the picture and asked for something I could see. I'm careful to give a detailed reason why I decline when I have to decline so people know. When you resubmitted, I left it alone because you didn't improve your photography at all. Just one distance, blurry picture that doesn't show me anything and I really needed to see something more. So, hey, I'm glad it got approved and you can move on. You should be glad that I decided to leave it alone. Wink
