My approach to tagging photos: "Posting" pic vs. "visit" pic

Silverquill's concern in another thread: "Of course we need to keep in mind that photos from visits are added to the single gallery.  In some ways this is nice, and in some ways not.  There seems to be no way to tell which ones belong to the original waymark and which ones are part of a visit.  Sometimes that makes it look as if the waymark author submitted crappy photos!  It would be nice if there were some sort of marker to label a photo as Visit Photo, or Added, or something!"

Here's my approach: while uploading pics, regardless of whether I am creating a WM, or visiting another's WM, I use the "Image Description" and "Image Caption" boxes to identify photos I have placed:
I always use the "Image Caption" box (the top/first entry box) to enter a single title that applies to every photo I am placing in that WM...then, for each subsequent pic I enter the first character of that title, and choose it in the drop-down box that appears. Very fast. Much as I would like to give each photo a cleverly wrought, individual caption, I would rather spend the time critically editing my photos for quality.  -- THEN -- I always use the "Image Description" box (the second/lower box) to enter my tagline: "by Telomere: jim@jeep-ps.net". Since this box does not offer the drop-down option, I simply use {Ctrl-C} once, and {Ctrl-V} to paste it in each time. Also very fast.
The effect for others, is that the 'alt text' on mouseover in gallery view will pop up with MY tagline, which I feel identifies me as the author and owner of that particular photo...as a Poster, or as a Visitor, and accomplishes the distinction SQ seems to want.  Further, I include my e-mail address in the tagline, because I feel it discourages plagarism,  anyone sufficiently interested in my photo can easily see how to contact me directly about rights/reproduction. Not financial; just permission.
I also have a trick for multiple "captions" that use the same starting letter: just put a 'space' in front of the first letter, and just bang the spacebar to get that one in the dropdown menu.
Hope something here is useful to others.
