Not only is there a category for Skycrapers there are so few structures over 1000 feet the category is very limited thus fails for prevalence.

Everyone approaches a statement with a certain amount of preconsieved notions... I assumed that we are talking about antenna masts. I found a link to a website that has 175 towers, world wide that are over 1000' tall. I actually thought there were more than that.

    The website is: http://www.economicexpert.com/a/TV:masts.htm

I looked at the list and find it interesting. Add the towers from this list and you add 28 more that are over 1,000 feet.

When the OP is introduced by talking about the new world's tallest building that influences how the topic is supposed to be interpreted, if it was introduced discussing antenna masts then it will be perceived differently.

My thought was anything over 1000'. TV masts were just one thing I was thinking of.
I know there is a skyscraper category, but stuff like the CN Tower is not a true skyscraper.  There will be some cross-posting, but less than 10% of all skyscrapers, and it's not the first time something fits in more than one place.

There are more than you think.   I counted over 150 structures higher than 1,600'.
Here is a list (400+) over 1,300 feet, just in the US alone.

My view was more myopic and was focused on  buildings and CN tower type structures alone not antenna towers etc.
