    Re: Personal page gibberish

mmmmmm...... the profile gibberish appears to be limited to the forum--there was talk of having to 'move' everything over (avitars, threads, etc)...might this be from that?--will it be possible to link to the corresponding profile (GC/WM) from the GS profile; a la a GC stat box like/next to the WM box as on the WM profile [these should link to my profile, not the home page] as for design..... to reply to this i had to say i was replying to you. i could not activate the text box to compose this reply..... i had to click the design button to begin typing......

    Here is one for Nate:
On our new "Groundspeak Portal" page it shows us as: Member since: 11-03 (or 4 or 5 etc) - 2006
How about giving us a credit for the last 12 to 15 months that we have been with "Waymarking"? Big Smile say since our first posting on the other "Forum"  Wink
At least I have to give you credit for now posting our  gripes Wink  in real time. (No more +/- counting fingers when the last posting  was added) Embarrassed

    Re: Personal page gibberish

I'll be happy when the tinkering and integration is finished.  I can't figure out how to get my avatar to appear, because of the "personal page gibberish."  I upload an avatar and save it, but I get an error message saying that my signature line is limited to 512 characters.  Pardon me, I didn't add one, I was just trying to get an avatar.  So I trot over to the profile/signature line page and delete ALL the HTML gibberish in the box.  It's now a blank box.  I click on the button to update, and it says the same error about being limited to 512 characters.  Pardon me, but isn't 0 characters significantly lower than 512?

I followed the instructions here and it worked for me to create an avatar.

I see.  I am jealous of your colorful avatar.  I wallow, ashamed, in my gray generic bleakness.

Those instructions don't work for me.  I attempt to upload an image that's just under 75x75 pixels, but the upload always fails because my signature line exceeds 512 characters (due to hyperlinks, etc.).  I bet yours isn't as wordy, so your upload went through.

Ahhh, but your avatar currently speaks to the soul like a poem or music, more intimately than any other kind of avatar.

    Gray...Opposite of color. Neutral...Receding

It projects a bolder mood, given its darker hues and heavier black outline.  It is more muted and somber in its tonality and softness of lines, against a warmer, enveloping gray. It  offers an air of mystery.
