    Stuck in Group Vote?

I have a Waymark that I posted in Mid-November in the Racetrack category that seems to be stuck in group vote.  I've emailed the officers who are active (twice) as well as Checkmark (twice) but have received no response from either.  Other Waymarks have been approved in that category since my submission.  If I delete my original post and resubmit it, would that solve the problem or will it once again get hung up in group vote.

    Re: Stuck in Group Vote?

You can cancel your submission and resubmit it. For me this has helped sometimes. But there is always a chance that it will go to vote again.

Well I can't seem to find a way to delete it. I guess once it goes to group vote there's no option to cancel the submission. At least I was able to log onto the forum so something is working.

No, you can't delete it once you sent it for approval. But you don't want to, because deleting would mean all your information is gone.

What you can do is cancel your submission. Go to your waymark and click 'edit'. Then you'll see a button to cancel your submission at the top of the page. That's it! Your waymark will return to the unfinished state. You can brush it up if you like and then re-submit it.

    Re: Stuck in Group Vote?

Unfortunately canceling the submission does not appear to be an option once a Waymark has been placed in group vote.  I have canceled them before while they were awaiting approval when I discovered I'd messed something up.  I'm going to create a second identical Waymark and see what happens.

    Re: Stuck in Group Vote?

I know I have done it. It's a while ago, but I hope this option was not removed with the last updates. I cannot reproduce it right now because I don't have any waymarks in that state.

Maybe someone else can shed some light on this topic?

    Re: Stuck in Group Vote?

Well, I posted a duplicate racetrack and guess what, after 2.5 months the original one was approved. I withdrew the submission for the duplicate and then deleted it. There was definitely no option to cancel the submission for the original.

Tried it before myself as long as it is stuck in vote you can do nothing with it.

    Re: Stuck in Group Vote?

I'm stuck in a group vote as well and have been for close to a week now.

32 members in this group....I think I see the reason for the delay.

Anyhow I've messaged the leader to see what the issue is.

32 members doesn´t mean 32 officers. Normally only 3 to 5 are officers and only those are able to do something.
What´s the group? Mailing the leader can be a good solution, but, check if it´s active (look at the last login date in the profile), and, if it´s not, mail an active officer. If no officer has logged in the last times consider mailing checkmark (I think it´s still the regular procedure, correct me if i´m wrong).

    Re: Stuck in Group Vote?

I had no luck emailing the two active officers (although I'm not sure that they could have done anything about it) or checkmark who I emailed twice with no response. The group vote is supposed to automatically be completed after 3 days if I remember correctly. Mine was stuck for two months. BruceS finally mentioned it to bootron and the problem was solved. So thanks to the two of them for getting my Waymark published!

Ahhhh I see the difference now. There's a leader then 5 officers and then 26 volunteers. The group is "Libraries". The Lead has been on today and 4 of the 5 officers have been on this year. I'm sure my message to the lead will get things straightened out. If not I'll try the officers.

    Thanks
