Thank you for compiling your list chapterhouseinc. We're sort of in the bug fixing stage at the moment so I'm not necessarily looking for enhancements, but I'm sure I confused the issue by pulling out those three I posted above. I did that because I thought they would be quick fixes. Feel free to continue posting upgrade requests, I just may not ...

PAWSitraction:I've been getting some odd emails since last week. I'm getting emails saying that there are edits for my review that I need to approve, but when I click on the link, it goes to a blank page. What the heck is going on? We're fixing this bad URL in the edit notifications. PAWSitraction:Another member of one of ...

Thank you for all the bug reports folks, and thanks to Bootron for responding quickly with the hotfixes. We're now at a pretty stable point today which is encouraging when you consider how large a change this release was. Please continue to report any problems you find and we'll get to them as quickly as possible. Thanks!

TheBeanTeam:OK this is complicated but if you are in the post a waymark page and you begin to select subcategories I found at least one issue. If you drill down starting with Buildings the next list gives you an option for converted train stations. Then you can select the category. To my knowlede there is no category for ''converted train ...

opinionate:Bruce discovered an issue with waymark edits that we're looking at. Apparently if a required variable is created for a category *after* it has already accepted some waymarks, those waymarks will not let you edit them without including the required information. We're discussing ways around this now. This is partially fixed. There is ...

Waymarking.com Release Notes for 10/29/2009Many of you have read the feature enhancements in the other thread. I will reproduce that description below. But first, the fixes:Ajax added for country/state on waymark entry. This prevents the page from refreshing when selecting the dropdownWaymark variables on the details pages are sorted in order of ...

I forgot to mention that ''write note'' is now ''write comment'' and moved from the visit page to the waymark details page alongside ''visit waymark''. I guess simple edits will be made in comments by anyone too squeamish about editing someone else's waymark. Another idea we have for notifying waymark owners of edits to their waymark is to ...

I thought we removed all that auto-approval business but can't remember if we fixed this. It is my guess right now that the note is legacy text and inaccurate. Sean is checking the code now.I wrote up a user story for ''notify me when my category goes on probation''.

jeremy:I wanted to follow up to explain the intent of the new feature. It was not, as many posts are focusing, meant as a way for newbies to easily post their waymark even if they didn't know the category exists. The intent was to create a way for people to post locations that don't have categories at all.I am probably responsible for promoting ...

cache_test_dummies:Couple of quick thoughts/questions:2) As a waymark reviewer, I have some concerns. For example, I hope this feature doesn't result in category 'slamming' - a practice in which people would be so anxious to get credit for submitting nearly-completed waymarks found in the uncategorized list that they'd try to force it into ...

Early next week we intend to release some new features on Waymarking.com. I'd like to briefly introduce these changes so you'll know what to expect. We have made a number of alterations to the original plan outlined in this post. The major difference is the postponement of any kind of points system. We're in the early stages of planning a ...
