I'm starting to use the perceived ''recreational value'' of a category as one of my main tools.
How would one enjoy or use these in that context? I'm not seeing that.

Having been caught unaware in the past, I thought that maybe it would be helpful to compile a list of things that should be remembered when collecting data for a potential new waymark. This list is certainly not exhaustive and I'd sure appreciate anyone adding items that I missed.
Items to record:
GPS recorded coordinates
Photo of the item - ...

BruceS: scrambler390:Would a category based on Pope or Papal locations or items be a viable category. We have one for Shakespere,  Abraham Lincoln , J.F.Kennedy ,President Birthplaces, and other notables. I have not seen one for Pope's.
Places would be same as for other important historical figures, Plaques, markers, Statues, ...

silverquill:As far as I can tell, that error box pops up at random times - anything from posting a picture to accepting a warmark in review.A few times I've had it pop up repeatedly when trying to submit a waymark.  I don't know if there is some value that is in the incorrect format, an invalid date for instance, or what.  You might just

Yes it does have a roof... you can see it in the photo by Jake39 if you look carefully on the edge of the beams.
Or

droople:Hi
I'm just wondering that is it possible for me to download all my search results instead of download one by one?
Cheers
Hello there.
Hopefully this image will help you out.
After you get the page downloaded, you can go to the next page and repeat this same process.

I'm not sure that I agree with everyone else in this topic. It is my impression that when anyone sends content to the ''Uncategorized'' section that they WANT it to be finished by someone else.
''I've taken this as far as I can. Please take over for me.''
If I am the one that categorizes it and completes any needed or optional content because ...

cache_test_dummies:Are there any workarounds for getting in a date with a three digit year?
Have you considered Islamic or Hebrew? Wikipedia on Calendars
Or of course you could try Star Date conversion.

0ccam: the blue quasar: bootron:The date problem should be fixed now.  You still won't be able to enter 01/01/2009, but it will behave properly when you enter 1/1/2009 now.
Sure would be great if Groundspeak would adopt the ISO format... I confess that I can't understand what 7/5/2009 is. And without the hanging ''0'', it looks messy in a ...

bootron:A few years ago someone created a facebook app to help you display your waymarking stats on your facebook profile. For some time this app has been broken (and it is generally not being fully supported by anyone right now). However, I figured out what was wrong with it and made a minor change so that it would function again. If anyone is ...

0ccam: chapterhouseinc:originally i think it was the first 5 uploads that showed. now i think its the last 5.
If there's no default, then the first photo uploaded is the default. After THAT it's the latest FOUR (or less).
This appears to be correct. The default, then the first four images uploaded. I've checked my WSS entry and image 2,3 and 4

cache_test_dummies: opinionate:-Multiple waymark visits (This was done intentionally at Jeremy's request, but the *way* it works may need investigationDo you mean that waymarking is now going to allow multiple visits per waymark like it did originally?I would consider this to be a very positive development.

team farkle 7:It would be a great feature if you could click on a state and it shows your waymarks for that state. Also, if there's ever plans for a world map, if it worked the same way. Not a biggie, but still it would be a nice feature, I think.
For you.

That is not what I'm saying... and I already did admit that I was not looking up specifics.
I flip-flop constantly as to whether Waymarking should even be associated with Geocaching at all or not in any way.
It is more likely that I'm just not understanding your proposal and why it needs to be handled differently than what we already have set up.

BruceS: the blue quasar:My short version would be that I am opposed to this suggestion.
I see no reason why such locations cannot fit within the already established format. Global is only one aspect of four, and perhaps what is needed is a new category that is broad enough to be able to accept these.
Everything should go through Peer Review, ...

Team Goju:We have been geocaching for a 3 years, and have only visited/posted a couple of waymarks, so the activity is still relatively new to us. One of our side interests that has developed has been visiting remote and abandoned fire lookout towers. While browsing through the categories, the closest one I could find is Lookout Towers, however it

As much as the thought of ''logging'' one of these makes me giggle, the idea is better than some that we do already have in place.
