ODragon:It would be nice if there was public information on the edit pages of waymarks (ie, denial + cat + reason). I can see an uncategorized waymark getting sent to the same group multiple times because multiple people don't know it is denied. IE, if someone sees the AIDs memorial in the uncat list, thinks it would be a good disaster

chapterhouseinc:
but wait, hold on, theres more....
since the 1935 memorial is no longer 'mine' do i even have the ability to uncategorize it, to reactegorize it, to return it to my possession?I am assuming that the 1935 memorial is one that you submitted and it was categorized by someone else. First the one you submitted still ...

chapterhouseinc:well, that happened during the no notification spell after the update....
since it was/is no longer 'my mark', i wondered how it turned out.....i have yet to recieve any sort of notification about that waymark.
does it now become 'mine' again?
and i discussed the topic (aids memorial as a disaster) and not one of them ...

ODragon: BruceS: chapterhouseinc:i told you that wouldnt work.....I would not say that it does not work.... I do it all the time and it works fine... I may not be explaining all the clicks correctly but it does work. No, it was an ''I told you so'' about trying to put the AIDS memorial in the Disaster Monument category; very adult.Got it ...

ODragon: BruceS:If it is your uncategorized waymark you can click edit and you will see a link saying change/remove category. If you do this it will remove the category and then it can resubmitted as an uncategorized waymark. Not sure if that helps or not.Right now, it says [Select a category]. When I try to update ...

ODragon:So I attempted to help a waymark out by placing it in a category I thought it should go (AIDS memorial placed in the Disaster memorial category). It failed the vote (nothing useful or helpful, just one 'no' comment), I want to put it back to the Uncategorized List. I can't figure out how to do this. Anyone know?If it is ...

No they are not rare. They are quite common. Only reason people might think they are rare is that they are often areas you would want to avoid anyway. I can think of a couple that are interesting but most are not.

chapterhouseinc:i have seen Apple machines...do those count?
maybe a Sony one too....No. They are not the same thing. Currently there are only 3 located in the US (unless Kogers has deployed another one but have not heard they have) and they have all been waymarked. Most are located in Belgium and France.

gt.us:I put up a waymark, put up pictures, went back and edited some more.
Then I wanted to include a message to the reviewer, and the private message box was no longer available. At a minimum, it should be available until I have submitted the waymark. This is a known bug. It was introduced when they were removing the view of the private ...

I have seen the Best By Machines and they are different than the Shop-24 machine I have seen. Edit to add:I have checked the Shop 24 website and they have NOT added Best Buy as a partner.

scrambler390:Would a category based on Pope or Papal locations or items be a viable category. We have one for Shakespere, Abraham Lincoln , J.F.Kennedy ,President Birthplaces, and other notables. I have not seen one for Pope's.
Places would be same as for other important historical figures, Plaques, markers, Statues, ...

I just did a search from the Antietam Cemetery and it appeared that it was working for me. Once you locate one just do a nearest waymark search. If they don't show then check your ignored category list to make sure you have one accidentally marked history and culture or memorials on your ignore list as that is where most of ...

team farkle 7:Now if only the nay-sayers were as vocal with all the franchises... Those categories are what keeps the cachers from crossing over to the darkside (we have cookies).I believe I was fairly vocal on those too

You might try this. Fill in Weird Story location waymark with fictitious information. Then edit it filling in only a couple pieces of correct information and save. Keep doing this until you add something that causes the error. This will help identify what is causing the error. Edited to Add:I have just run a test

saopaulo1:This is why I don't like using the uncategorized category feature. I think since the beginning Groundspeak said that credit for posting would go to the helper. I just find it weird to categorize a waymark and get all the credit when I've never been there. I seems like armchair waymarking.Who the waymark went to changed between the ...

dinoprophet: silverquill: dinoprophet:Good idea for a thread. I think keywords get overlooked a lot. The only category I've created is James Bond, and the keywords I used are:fleming spy movie book british brosnan connery moore dalton craigI didn't know at the time that the search checks all text fields, so some of these are redundant ...
