BruceS:Top reviewers now posted. A Number of WaysMost visited will be up soon. (tomorrow)
Very cool, just one suggestion for the top visited - many of them are overlaid waymarks so it would be great if you could list also the waymark code in order to better distinguish between them.
(also not to complicate things but the Paris Banks of the

DGillies:Having worked at a yacht club for over 30 years, I'd like to say that the only difference between a yacht club and a marina is that a yacht club is owned by all it's members, whereas a marina is privately owned.
Careful, there can be marinas that are publically owned. I would hate for this category to neglect the publically ...

Send me an invite and I'll help you get this started (might drop out after it gets rolling due to the other categories I manage.)

Excuse my French but I think the person who wrote you this letter has asuta. It is only a game/hobby.

silverquill:I'll admit there are some days, when several categories get flooded, that I see that long list in the review queue and sigh.
I've been blessedly spared this experience. All of my categories only have occasional submissions or with those that are more frequent everyone seems to shoulder the workload evenly.
I would offer ...

gt.us: In the meantime the other officer declined with comments that I read as rude.
Just curious, how can you see the comments made by another officer when they decline a waymark? I haven't discovered this feature yet and would like to check it out.

I had on a couple of successive occasions today the problem of hitting the save button on a new waymark and getting an error message. The contents of my waymark was completely lost and I had to redo it.
Very disheartening when you spend a lot of time on a waymark (in my case translating text) and then it gets lost.
Anyone else have a ...

BruceS:Had to hold off on the country summaries for a bit but I have added a few category summaries. A Number of Ways
Any interest in publishing the top 10 logged waymarks? Maybe top 10 by state/country. I'm really curious about this stat.

gt.us:
Recently, I've seen examples of 'reviewer' burnout.
Hello gt.us,
Could you say more about what you mean by reviewer burnout? Is it related to abandoned categories? Or is it about leaderes quitting groups? Thanks for the clarification.

I sent an e-mail to the category leader offering to take over the leader position and I surprisingly got a rapid response indicating that he wanted to continue as the leader. I noticed that he logged on to the website right after. He has not many waymarks or visits but it seems he would like to stay connected to the hobby.
He did ...

cache_test_dummies:
My understanding is that one of the current officers in the group would need to call a vote to demote the current leader, and then 100% of the remaining officers would have to vote in favor of the demotion.
Can one of the more active officers promote me to officer level? Or can only the leader promote non-officers to the ...

I have been a fan and ardent poster of waymarks to the Megalithic Monuments category. I have a waymark that has been sitting for a while in this category unapparoved. I just checked the group and the leader has not logged in since last year.
Open enrollment is on so I joined the group. I find it a pity that such a category has a ...

BruceS:Summary of how we got to 200,000 waymarks since the first waymark on 8/11/05 see A Number of Ways
I enjoyed these stats very much. How about doing a list of waymarkers by country?
Check back later tonight or tomorrow. I think you will see them, was my plan to have them already but ...

FiVermont:I am thinking that categories should be subject to ongoing peer review. Literary Sites, for one, needs an integrity check. The description clearly says it is for locations mentioned in literature (''Find something - a house, diner, bookstore, park, etc. - that's used in a fictional book''). It appears that the birthplace of an author is ...

I mostly cache alone and when not it's always a muggle. I'll waymark when with a group of people but it's often also solo.

The Opera Garnier is also called the Academie Nationale de Musique . I've already waymarked it but under the name Opera Garnier. Maybe that's what you are referring to?
