Variables are good, don't get me wrong, but many categories seem to get too fine grained in defining variables. For example, for some categories there are variables for entering the hours that the waymark is open or available. The simplest way of entering this would be a free form text box, a single variable. However, most ...

I'd love to see the geocaching iphone app support waymarking (or a separate app.)Ideally this would let you do both:Visiting- select ''Show nearest waymarks'' button- select a waymark- select visit- type in your text- optionally select ''attach a photo''- select a photo from your library, or take a new oneCreation- select ''Create new waymark'' ...

Interesting ideas.Have you thought about treating this more like flickr, iphoto, gmail does, with the use of tags? So rather than having all these different categories, you would submit a waymark into the orphan or generic category, with the option of making it private (nobody else can categorize it for you) or public (let the world at ...

I'm looking for other members to join my sand volleyball court group. The category that will be created is to waymark permanent (and seasonal) sand volleyball courts set up for recreational or league play.

For a number of categories, you have to enter hours of operation for them. Most of these have a series of list boxes to select the open/close times for weekdays, open/close times for Saturday, open/close times for Sundays. These are often a pain to use. Personally I'd just like a free flowing text box to enter hours, as there might

I'm interested in creating a new group for boardwalks. Specifically, a category for fresh water boardwalks that go through swamps, marshes, and other natural areas. This category would not include salt water boardwalks (such as on the Jersey shore), but that could be another category managed by the same group. I don't have any ...

The benefit is I'm a lazy guy and would like as much filled in as possible. I don't think Groundspeak would have to create the shape/kml files themselves. Something already exists. If you upload a photo to flickr or picasaweb, they can figure out the country, state and nearest town. I have no idea how they do that, but

With more and more iphone/blackberry/android type phones having cameras with built in GPSs, and people using them to snap photos for waymarks, it would be really sweet to streamline the waymark process by uploading the photo for a waymark first, and having the coordinates, country, state all filled in automatically from coordinate information

I've always wanted to be able to upload an image from a URL rather than from my local computer. Most of my images I upload to flickr, and then I have to upload again to waymarking.com (or geocaching.com for caches.)It would be nice to have options for ''upload from local computer'', ''upload from URL''

Almost all waymarks require a picture to be uploaded for creation, and many require the picture for a visit as well.Wouldn't it be nice when creating a waymark to FIRST upload the photo, and if the photo has geotag data with it that the coordinates, state, country are automatically filled out for you? When visiting a waymark, before ...

I have saved searches saved out for a couple locations, but I'd really like to have the filter saved with them so that the saved search doesn't show me waymarks I own or have visited. Is there a way to do that?

Many waymarks logically belong to multiple categories. One I often run into is coffee shops & wifi. I often create two waymarks, but I'd really like to just clone one into the other and then add the additional information the other category requires. Is there any way of doing this?

I'd like to see them automatically mirrored on both sites.

I posted a visit to a waymark this morning, and I see it shows up on the waymark page. But going back to my grid or ''waymark lists'' page it doesn't show the visit. Does it take some time for this all to update?
