saopaulo1:Why is the category under games and not business?
Don't know. I thought I'd put it for Business/Commerce but I must've screwed up. I've already emailed about it, asking for that to be corrected.

FiVermont:Any possibility of info on rejected categories? Not having been involved with Waymarking all that long, I'm somewhat curious as to what cats haven't made it through peer review. It wouldn't have to be interactive at all, just a listing with the description and vote count. Vote comments would also be interesting.Matt
I like Matt's idea... ...

Pet Stores has been approved and passed final Groundspeak inspection!
Even though I was ''leader'' of the group, this was actually mtekk77's category and since he prefers to stay off the forum, I honoured that request. It was only with his permission and full cooperation that this category went forward.
There were a number of the ''nay'' votes ...

silverquill:I think there is a good reason for this. If the waymark depends on photos residing on another server, whether it by my locals server or one such as flicker, it compromises the integrity of the waymark. Suppose someone deletes the photos from flicker or the account goes bad, or my local server goes down or I die! What ...

northernpenguin:Actually, the filter I'd like to see is ''My waymarks that are still waiting for review''. Every once in a while now I'm noticing one 5 pages down in my waymarks, nearing forgotten. The ''My Unfinished'' filter hides the ones I've sent for review and it would be nice to see the ones that are still sitting there after a ...

Copyright violation really boils my blood. There are images of Laurel Tavern available under a Creative Commons license, but I guess Michael Cavna thought that was just too hard to do. Likewise, it seems too hard for him to contact the artist who he stole from after being called out on it. But, hey, it's not like writing for the ...

0ccam:That's fine. But what if they go delinquent?
My thought would be to build redundency into the process. Perhaps each of the Department level approvers would be a backup for the others.
It sounds like it would work well. I don't think there even has to be assigned departments, just a pool of monitors that can be on call

the blue quasar:I would support this category concept. It's fun! There are 14 locations within 25 miles of my house, 5 of which are within 5 miles (I feel dirty typing in Imperial lol) Can't see how this would be an entry in Photo Goals, but I am open to it being tossed in if the listing is clear. Off Topic: Organizing a night ...

yramc600:I've read through the different categories for specific wars and specific vetrans, and I'm having trouble. Pitt county NC has one memorial for everyone who's been killed in war from this county. The wars are listed, and the people are named. This goes from WWI to Iraqi Freedom. I'm sure this isn't the only memorial

I was really impressed to see that reference in your waymark. It's really a special treat when someone takes that extra step to bring in information. It makes reviewing waymarks a really fun part of the hobby.

globetrotters.us: haunthunters:I can see if the building is still there during our Thanksgiving trip up north. Given how far off-course I go to see my family and friends in Kentucky, 20 miles towards Memphis is easy.

The last time I remember stopping at a HoJo was 1993, driving between Memphis and Nashville. It was the old style building. It was around 20 miles West of Nashville on the South Side of the Highway East of the exit road, up on a hill. Does anyone else remember that HoJo's?
I can see if the building is still there during our ...

I came up with ''Thinking outside of the ammo box'' Which is a geocaching reference (for those who came to waymarking without the introduction from geocaching.com).
Oooo! That is great!

It's possible. I see what you're saying with the earlier mention of basketball courts.
I don't mind making special trips for photos, but I can see where that would be bothersome for someone else. But since I really like seeing photos, even for wi-fi and dog parks, I hope it doesn't stop becoming a requirement.

Hansenni:I post and visit. I am a retired Vietnam veteran who is writing a book about Vietnam War memorials as I travel across America. In doing my reseach, Waymarking.Com has been a invaluable source of information for me, so from my perspective the more that are waymarked or visited, the better. So far my list of Vietnam War ...
