• Re: Frustrating, inconsistent error

I guess we'll never know.I just went back and entered everything one by one, updating with each item. All was accepted, the waymark is posted.

  • Re: Frustrating, inconsistent error

It certainly doesn't like me.I tried just random characters in fields, got the error.I tried blank fields, and it got as far as telling me I had to agree to T&C, but once I did that, I got the error again.Does it not like Macintosh? Kidding! Never had a problem before.(Sorry for the repeats. It wasn't going through, and it won't let me delete ...

  • Frustrating, inconsistent error

Attempting to post a waymark in the Weird Story Locations category, I have repeatedly incurred some sort of error. Page invites me to describe what I was doing.I go to a different category, create a new waymark with entirely fictional information, and it processes properly.I come back to Weird Story Locations and get the same result as ...

  • Irritating Date Issue

I have noticed that date fields requiring the entry in mm//dd/yyyy format don't accept it when you do enter it that way.For instance, in the This Old Church category, I want to enter May 1, 1846 as the date the church was dedicated. If I enter 05/01/1846 (mm/dd/yyyy), I get an error telling me the date is incorrectly formatted.I have to go back and ...

the blue quasar:What I mean is that currently it takes 100% of ALL officers to vote out a Leader. I think it should be 66% of those that cast a vote. I'm the only active officer in one group and would like to make some enhancements. The leader (a dearly departed friend of mine) did not set-up permissions. The only way I can do anything is to ...

rakeinthecache:...what happends to all the waymarks and logs if a legacy category fails review? The same thing that typically happens now when category requirements change: grandfather the existing postings and visits, perhaps continue to permit visits, but close the category to more waymarks unless it is actively maintained.

team farkle 7:I hope you're not referring to the birthplace of Jack Kerouac, because he wrote about it. Many of his books were semi-autobiographical. Kerouac was not my focus. You give a highly detailed description of how the house is mentioned in Dr. Sax.However, I do seriously doubt James Fenimore Cooper mentioned his birthplace in Last of The ...

Fatcat chapterhouseinc:i thought i saw a new one of those pop up not too long ago...has that been 3 weeks? The most recent in the cat was exactly a month ago. Of the three officers, the last sign-ins were ...

gt.us:...the kind of people that are drawn to waymarking aren't much into contributing to an inventory. My perception of waymarkers are creative and talented people that like to showcase their photography, writing and research abilities. There aren't too many waymarkers that care about creagting a full inventory of every item that ...

I cannot speak globally, but any optometrist I could go to is a Doctor of Optometry, and it is he who writes the prescription. He may (and typically does) have his own retail shop at which the prescription can be filled, but I can take the prescription to any other retail shop. The typical ''vision center'' (e.g., Sears, LensCrafters, ...

chapterhouseinc:ok, i got several to list (forts, 3 in que/SVM, again, 27 in que) why cant there be a button on the group page--instead of having to write a note to 'each member'--that sends a note to all of the officers, TPTB and sets up some sort of timer system (such as voting) that until the mark gets approved the nots keep going ...

globetrotters.us:My personal example... I'm an officer in Mauseleums. Thats JIMBOBWE's cat, and he is usually right on top of any approvals that come in. Even though I'm on daily, I might let one sit for a bit so he can approve it. So. if I were only on twice a week, and I skipped one the first time I saw it, and JIMBOBWEs computer was broke down,

globetrotters.us:Have you tried contacting the officers? That usually works for me.I will, but I thought some more focus was necessary on this abandonment/delay issue. Seems to me the entire Officer Corps of a given group being out of pocket at the same time for a long time needs fixing.

As of today, I have been waiting two weeks for Exact Replicas to approve. They have four officers. As long as I'm here, I'll also mention that Specific Veterans Memorials is closing in on that. Waiting ten days on three officers there.I even canceled and resubmitted both of those just to see if I could wake someone up. No response.

  • Another weirdism

I'm seeing something entirely unique.I just posted a waymark to the Applebee's category and uploaded ONE photo, but that photo is showing twice in the gallery. Thinking I had somehow actually done it twice (ah, the Sixties), I selected one and archived it, but BOTH gallery thumbnails and the default photo disappeared.I uploaded the single photo ...

chapterhouseinc:shouldnt they take into account what the language settings are on the computer? or at least ask when you navigate to something other than your pc's setting.I would agree that localization should be possible, but that's probably something that comes from TeleAtlas or one of the other map suppliers.
