Thanks for posting about this. I haven't been on waymarking in a while so I've missed a lot of new categories through peer review. But I do get new forum topics emailed to me, so this was just the prompting I needed to log on and vote.

My pictures are still on the Panoramio site. I've heard nothing from Groundspeak or Google about this. Does the GS legal department have rights in any of this? To protect their site? To protect our work? Or is anytime we upload something to Geocaching or Waymarking giving away our rights? Maybe disable the Right-click/Save As options for the ...

I just tried mine again. Entered the GUID and clicked Set. It refreshes the screen but the screen is blank. It would be nice to get this working again.

I started a group a while back called Moving Artists for art pieces like this (and this would be a perfect fit), but it never got off the ground.''This group
manages the ''Kinetic Art & Sculpture'' category. Kinetic art is art
that contains moving parts or depends on motion for its effect. The
moving parts are generally powered by wind, a ...

Saopaulo, There's a lot of fast food photos up and down the 5 & 101 and the Bay Area and they all use the waymarking naming convention of ''Place - Street - City, State.'' Odds are good they're yours.

WOW, He stole some of mine too. I've been putting my copyright on the photos for most images, but I get lazy sometimes. I just didn't think someone would want to steal a photo of Jack In the Box.

I've seen a flag store that also carry a huge inventory of kites, and many go for hundreds of dollars. Would a place like this be included?I would suggest working out the details here in the forums, even copying/pasting your write-up. We all have a lot of good ideas and it will definitely make a difference in peer review.

I wonder if there would be enough interest in a group for ''outdoor science experiments'' or ''teaching aids out in the field'' for lack of better names. It seems intriguing to me at least. Maybe ask the officers of the science museum, Foucault pendulum, planetarium, and any other science related categories for ideas & suggestions.Do you ...

We have 1 ''real'' GPS between two geocachers/waymarkers and a GPS enabled blackberry, so taking a picture of the GPS isn't always feasible. We have over 500 visits and not one picture of a GPS in the shot and we've never had a log deleted (I assume the system notifies you like GC.com). As long as you put some thought into your log, maybe a ...

This was brought up a while ago as a feature request. It's one of my biggest pet peeves on adding new waymarks, since my browser takes forever to recognize the drop down change to the States after choosing US.Since they added sticky dates when logging, I wonder if they can have sticky fields for the Country & State?

I've had the Costa Mesa CA Art O Mat in my unfinished folder forever. I need to get my photos off another computer, but this is just the incentive to get it posted...and work on some of my backlog. Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of Waymarking?

I believe these type of ''sighting'' categories was one of the original ideas that completely flopped since its really only for the purpose of setting up a waymark and the likelihood of someone visiting it in the same exact place is rare. And I don't think they are prevalent/unique enough to warrant a category like the UHaul Supergraphics. ...

The great thing about geocachers in our neck of the woods, is that they're really eager to help others, especially kids. I would consider attending an event and let people know that you'll be bringing kids that want to learn. Or better yet, host a Geocaching 101 event specifically to show kids how its done. In either case, I bet you'll get ...

Hi Dragontree and welcome to the waymarking forurms. Your list is quite impressive and those that have posted about other Points of Interest websites are on the right track - much of the list would not fall under waymarking. Those POI websites are better served for the phone book/yellow pages of listings. Some of your ideas may already be ...

Yep, a place/item can be waymarked under multiple categories (cross-posting), and a visitor can also visit all of those stacked WM's. Also, you can visit the Seattle Space Needle today and log everything, then check the website a year later and log any new cross-postings.

As a waymark owner, if someone posted a photo of some of the interior of the airport, a distinctive feature inside, a food court, a VIP lounge, perhaps a golf cart with the name of the airport, or maybe the support vehicles outside the windows that say the name of the airport, as well as a sentence about their experience, I certainly would accept ...

The monument should work under occupational monuments. Try that one first. It looks like there were schools and churches there too. I think some of those categories (i.e. Former Schools) allow locations where the building no longer stands. If the Shinto Shrine or the Torii gate is still standing, it might work under Outdoor Altars, but I'm not very ...

the blue quasar:That gives me all of the descriptions, and with GSAK after using the ''Global Replace - Icon = Virtual Cache'' they show up just like caches.
I do still want to look into the Custom POI (which I hear has been updated recently) option instead.
BQIn GSAK, in the Send to GPS screen, you can override the icons of caches. For ...
