• Smiley Faces Signs

Hi Would a category where Smiley face(s) on advertising signs be a good possibility? The sign would need to be permanent, not a banner, billboard, streamer or painted on a window. Preferred would be outdoor signs mounted on a pole, etc.. Example say, would be if there was a buisness named ''Smiley's Grocery'' and there ...

  • Firefighter memorials

Hi I have run across a very nice Firefighter memorial for local paid and volunteer fighters in a local ''county''. To my surprise, I did not see a category for firefighter memorials. I found the Police/Law enforcement and Veterans memorials. I found old fourms but did not see anyone (I guess) actually looking to begin one, or if it would be a ...

  • Re: Proposal - Food or Meal challenge locations

I'll do some more checking to see about global prevalence. I was not sure if other countries had this sort of food entertainment/spectacle. Thanks for input!

  • Re: Proposal - Food or Meal challenge locations

BruceS:I assume you are talking about places like the Big Texan in Amarillo, Texas where they challenge you to eat a 72 ounce steak dinner and if you do within an hour it is free. Correct this type of challenge location as BruceS linked. There are a few TV shows on a Travel network that showcase some of these establishments also.

  • Proposal - Food or Meal challenge locations

Hi Would a category where food or meal challenges be worth pursuing? Alot of local/independent restaurants/pubs have come up with challenge or different challenges ideas to get more customers in the doors and to seperate themselves from the national chain restaurants. Challenges could be either food or NON ALCOHOLIC drink (milk shakes, ...

  • Recording Studios?

Hi My musician side has came to life again, and was wondering if there would be any intrest in a group to manage a Recording studios category. They would have to be clearly marked, permanent (not mobile) and dedicated studios. Not like a stadium or place where concerts are or were recorded. Nor where remote live broadcasts are originated ...

  • Re: Cannot Post Waymarks

Hi Since my original post, I have noticed that if I fill in all information EXCEPT anyhting in the long description it will go to the picture upload page. Then I uploaded pics, went to the preview waymark page and clicked the EDIT tab, and then added my long description, and it seems to work that way. After I did a few, I tried it the ''normal'' ...

  • Bell Tower passed peer review

Hi The Belll Tower Category passed peer review. There were 75 votes, 68 yea's and 7 nays. All the nays had the same basic theme, which was redundant - should fit into a church / steeple /carillion catagories. I would agree with this IF bell towers were found ONLY at churches or all were carillions. This IS NOT another church category. Bell ...

  • Gauging opinions - Bell Towers

Hi I do not know how ''Redundant'' this would be. I know there is a group for Static Bells ( ground based) USUALLY a ceremonial piece. And for Carillons, of which I am an officer. I was wondering though, if just a group for you everyday Bell tower would make a possible group? Alot of churches have a bell tower standing next to, ...

Hi Not to get too far off discussion, but I think the Corn mail box is one of the coolest thing I have seen in a LONG time! I also like the pole, it adds to it's uniqueness!! I also have had a pelican mailbox approved http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM4NZA Thank you

HiI would like to think a little different. As more and more new members get started into Waymarking, these folks bring new ideas and suggestions (Good or bad) into the community. Hi I ran into this problem before and have now ran into it again.
