BruceS:How this should have been set up is that categorizer recommends a category, which then opens up variables and he completes those he can, then it should go back to the original submitter to complete and submit. It would work much like the edits work except it would be between the original submitter and categorizer.
I agree.
I ...

yramc600: In Geocaching, the container is the find, in Waymarking, the place is the find.
I think that is a good summation and also why I like Waymarking.

chapterhouseinc:i got a dclined notice, for which, it would have been an opportunity to 'answer the question' in the 'private message box' on the waymark..... but when i go back to add it and resubmit, the box is gone....
I have the same problem. Had a few I've needed to ''respond'' to and couldn't.

What happens if a category can't find a third officer?

jimbofish:IMO, there was nothing in the submitter's reply that should have annoyed you. The mistake was yours... apologise and correct it, and be more carefull next time.
I disagree. If cmelton14 was polite in his rejection, even if he was mistaken, the submitter had no need to get his hackels up. He should have simplely re-submitted ...

I get the same thing as muffy53. Just 2 columns of numbers, no data.

I think the only categories that really need a GPS photo is the Coordinate Palindromes and Confluence Spots

In your visit log, say your GPS is mounted in your car. Most waymark owners will accept that with a good photo. You could take a pic of your GPS in the car.

I too am opposed. I've waymarked a point on these trails (http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM6FHK_New_River_Trail_State_Park_Foster_Falls_Va). I just don't feel it needs it's own category.

I too think it should be broader. It doesn't need to include county/parish borders which are a subdivision of state but aren't most countries divided into states? I know Mexico is, and Germany is but not what they call them. Ireland has 30 counties which I believe are the only subdivisions of the country therefore equivalent to the US state. I

Is anyone in West Virginia Historical Markers active? I have some I submitted three weeks ago that are still waiting to be approved.

I agree ''useless'' requirements should be removed. I also appreciate visits being accepted without pictures sometimes. I ''visited'' Rome OH in Small Town, Big Name without a picture recently. I rode thru and almost stopped to waymark it, but I had made a few other stops recently and was not making very good time, so I skipped getting ...

I dis-like commercial categories especially those of specific chains. I try to get them, both for numbers and to fill out the grid. However, I believe most anything that can be found doing a simple search on a GPS doesn't need a waymark. Waymarking is for finding those things that aren't pre-loaded into your GPS. The categories like Diners, ...

Plan your route. Go to the waymarking home page, make sure ''show map'' is checked. Click ''search from map center'' and adjust your filter as needed and move the map along your route searching for waymarks. Use the above mentions method to download them. I don't download every one sometimes, just some to get me in the area if there are a ...

I agree with BQ. A lot of waymarks ask for a description of the area etc, a picture of the area says a thousand words. :/ If you feel it is a poor visit, ask for better pictures and/or write up in the future so that they might do better on their next waymark.

I'm no where near Manitoba but I'll help. Heck, I might not ever get one in the category.
Do many other countries have roadside markers?

Also point them to the older waymark so they can log their visit.

Cockerels is a young rooster, but locally it means the feathers on a roosters neck, as when they puff them out before a fight. ''Getting your cockerels up'' translates to ''getting your panties in a wad''. :D
I figure I was just the straw the broke the camels back. :/

If the category is open to all TV show food locations, How will you verify them? We had the ''best hot dog'' series on the local news last year. They should all be postable because of that. However, as an officer how could you verify them? They may or may not be mentioned on the TV web site. And I'm sure you don't watch ever local news ...
